This four page lesson lesson may be used in CTS Legal Studies, CALM, or any subject in which the lesson deals with violence.
Using recent cases of violence in sports as examples, Students will:
- acquire knowledge about assault causing bodily harm;
- articulate and respond to specific situations regarding assault in the context of sports;
- engage in active inquiry and in critical and creative thinking;
- record, reflect, and extend thinking by using a designated thinking chart
- communicate point of view.
Students are asked to examine assault causing bodily harm and discern between intentional and non-intentional assault. A variety of examples, activities, and resources are included.
