From Hammurabi to McLachlin is a research activity that chronicles the history of law from 1780 BC to the present. Because of the volume of information, it has been divided into two parts. Students will read the questions and then use websites, articles and videos to research the answers. They will learn about "The Law of the Goring Ox", harsh legal punishments, murder and theft in England, ordeals used to determine guilt or innocence and how the Supreme Court of Canada developed to what it is today.
